Tired But Still Going

Our baby George arrived 12/29, and we're thrilled, but oh so tired!  It's funny how when you have your first child, you look back on when you had no kids and think to yourself how much free time you had.  Now that we've had our second child, we look back to when we had only one child and we feel like we had so much more free time.  It's amazing how a 24-hour day can be picked apart so much, so just when you think you couldn't possibly squeeze one more thing into the mix, in comes this joyful bundle to push aside your time to sleep, shower or eat a proper meal.  These days are extremely hectic, but when the kids are sleeping I try to take a moment to look at them at be grateful for this chaos.  I'm deliriously tired and stressed, but I still wouldn't have it any other way.  These days are fleeting and one day when I'm able to get a good night's sleep again and not have little people pulling me in every direction, I'll miss it.  So before I dig in to today's circus of laundry, doctor's appointment, cleaning, etc., I just wanted to sit myself down and be grateful for the world I find myself a part of.
